Spring Yard Sale & Bake Sale Yes! It's spring already! Our annual yard sale will be Saturday, May 3 at Redeemer Presbyterian Church located at 1046 Miller Street in Winston-Salem. The sale begins at 7am & ends at 2pm. Our $3 bag sale starts at 12noon. So.........come join the fun & find some treasures. All proceeds will be used for vet expenses & spay/neuter for our foster animals. You will be supporting "4 Paws" so we can continue our vital community service work.
"4 Paws Pet Foundation" Cookbook. We've got a cookbook in the "oven". We are compiling a cookbook to be published late 2007. Please email or snail mail your favorite family heirloom recipes. We would love to include them in our first edition. We encourage you to send them "in honor of" or "in memory of" someone special or a 4-legged friend. Please forward your family favorites to us & help make this a success!
Adoption Feature...
Do you like to play with kitties, give treats, and take care of cats & kittens? Do you have one hour every 2 weeks? If so, we need you! Volunteers needed to assist in the Petsmart Luv-A-Pet Adoption Center. The work is easy and the pay is a big purr from the resident cats! Call 778-0582 for more information.
We currently have lots of cats & kittens available for adoption - long hair to short hair, old and young! Please check our pet listing - it is updated on a weekly basis. If you can't adopt right now but would like to make a donation - please send it to: "4 Paws Pet Foundation" at P. O. Box 58 in Clemmons, NC 27012. All donations go directly to medical expenses/food supplies for abandoned & stray animals.
Spay/Neuter Assistance
A low cost spay/neuter clinic is located on West Mountain Street off Business I-40 at the Linville Road exit. Please call 723-7550.
If you have feral (wild) cats that need spay/neuter, please call Forgotten Felines at 768-PETS extension 3, Feral Cat Assistance Program at 378-0878 or "4 Paws" will also be glad to assist you.
Placement Information
Our placement services have changed. We will be mainly accepting animals from local animal shelters in order to assist with lowering the euthanization rate in area counties.
Dogs - Due to lack of foster space, we are no longer accepting dogs into foster care. Please contact the Forsyth Humane Society at 721-1303, your local county humane society, AARF at 768-PETS or Friends of the Shelter at 408-1539.
Cats - Cats may attend our adoption fair or may be added to our waiting list. The cat must be tested & vaccinated & if over 5 months of age, spayed/neutered (spay/neuter assistance available). All cats/kittens must be scheduled in advance & a copy of the vet records is required to attend our weekly adoption fair. Come Visit Us!
We hold Saturday adoption fairs from 11:00am until 3:00pm at Petsmart on Hanes Mall Blvd. in Winston-Salem. Some of our kitties are residing in Petsmart's Luv-A-Pet Adoption Center and are available to see 7 days a week. We do rotate the cats in the adoption center every 4 - 5 days so if you saw a kitty last week and it is not there this week, please call to find out the status. The kitty may still be waiting on you to call! In addition, we are available by appointment on weekday evenings.
